By booking a counselling appointment through therabridge.org, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Voluntary Participation: You understand that participation in counselling sessions is entirely voluntary. You have the right to withdraw from any session or terminate services at any time without penalty. Payment for a partly complete session is not refundable, however, the balance for remaining sessions is refundable. Please note that processing fees are not covered by Therabridge when refunding.
- Confidentiality: All information disclosed within the sessions will be kept confidential and will not be shared with any third party, except as required by law or with your explicit consent. However, confidentiality may be breached if there is an indication of harm to self or others.
- Nature of Counselling: You understand that counselling is a collaborative process aimed at improving mental health and well-being. However, it does not guarantee any specific outcomes, and the effectiveness of the sessions is influenced by your active participation.
- Technological Limitations: You acknowledge that Therabridge uses online platforms to facilitate counseling sessions. There may be limitations and risks associated with the use of technology, including disruptions or breaches of confidentiality due to technical failures.
- Professional Boundaries: Counsellors at Therabridge are licensed professionals bound by ethical codes. You agree to respect their professional boundaries and understand that they are not responsible for any decisions you make as a result of the counselling process.
- Emergency Situations: Therabridge does not provide crisis intervention services. In case of an emergency, you are advised to contact local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency room.
