About me
I am a compassionate and dedicated Registered Counsellor (HPCSA) with a strong passion for mental health and community well-being. I hold a B-Psych Equivalent and an Honours in Psychology (Cum Laude) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where I was recognized for academic excellence with a Dean’s Commendation.
My experience spans individual counselling, trauma debriefing, bereavement counselling, career guidance, and psychosocial support. I have worked in school settings, NGOs, and private practice, offering therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents, and adults. I am also passionate about HIV/AIDS awareness, wellness management, and crisis intervention, ensuring that mental health services are holistic and accessible.
Beyond counselling, I am a mentor, leader, and mental health advocate. I have served as a psychology tutor, wellness mentor, and volunteer at organizations such as CANSA and SADAG, where I have actively contributed to mental health awareness and support. My approach is deeply rooted in empathy, resilience, and cultural sensitivity, integrating Zulu values with evidence-based psychological practices to create meaningful, client-centered healing experiences.
I believe that mental well-being is the foundation of a thriving society, and my mission is to empower individuals through therapy, education, and community outreach. My vision is to see psychological services transform lives and create a positive impact on a larger scale.
